Chewing Gum

Any type of gum is not allowed on campus. We insist on this policy because of the damage to furniture, carpet, dish washer, etc.,
lack of manners many times displayed by students’ chewing gum, and the fact it is choking hazard. Although, in and of itself,
gum chewing is not a serious offense, the teachers and administration consider the disregard of a strict school rule an offense.
Students in grades 4-5 caught chewing gum will be warned the first time, assigned ASI (After School Instruction) the second
time, the third time assigned 2 days of ASI, and the fourth assigned Saturday School.
