School Hours and Day Care Program

School begins at 7:45 a.m. Students arriving prior to this time will need to report to the bus room (gym). Supervision is provided
in the bus room and the doors are opened at 7:00 a.m. Students should not arrive at school before 7:00 a.m. unless they are
enrolled in the extended day care program. Students arriving between 7:40-7:50 may go directly to their classroom. Classes are
dismissed at 2:45. The school system cannot be responsible for students leaving more than 30 minutes after the close of
school. If you think you might ever be late picking your child/children up, you may want to speak with Mrs. Jones (in charge of
Day Care Program) to be assured your child has a place to go after 3:15 PM. An Extended Day Care Service is available for
students who need to be dropped off before 7:00 AM and picked up after 3:15 PM. Their morning hours are 5:30-7:00 AM and
the afternoon hours are 2:45-6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The charge of this program depends on the number of sessions a
child attends and the number of brothers and sisters who also attend. The Day Care room is located in the back portable behind
the school. Joyce Jones is in charge of Eastside’s extended day program, and she can be reached at 668-1802 during the day to
answer any questions that you might have about the program. Our Warren County Kindergarten program is a half-day instruction
program. The hours are from 7:45- 12:30. Students may be picked up at 12:30, however staying until 2:45 is optional.
